Visits to the Hospital
When one of
our parishioners is hospitalized, our clergy or our Pastoral Assistant
are happy to come to visit. Current laws regarding the
confidentiality of patient information ("HIPAA" Laws), however, have
made it much more difficult for clergy and pastoral care personnel to
have access to patients. If you or a family member are to be
admitted to the hospital, please make sure that you specify at the time
of your admission that you are a parishioner of Saint Luke Church and
would like to be visited by our parish staff. Then, please make
sure you call the Parish Office at 203-227-7245 to inform us.
The Catholic
Chaplain of the hospital has responsibility for offering the Anointing
of the Sick, the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confessions) and
Communion.
